I got my start making little web pages as a hobby. After getting a Computer Science degree from University of Maryland, I spent some time in the Philippines doing mission work among the poorest of the poor. I came home with the goal of turning my hobby into a career - always using that experience to put people first.

I went on to do some work for ESPN, won an award for building one of the earliest responsive web portfolios, and built two of the highest trafficked pages for J.Crew (Product Detail Page and Sale portal). Now at Grubhub, I focus on building scalable SASS systems that help other engineers do their job faster.

I co-lead a cross-functional team with Design to develop the Design Language System (DLS). The goal of the DLS is to improve communication between teams, facilitate rapid prototyping, and help to break down the barriers that keep us from doing excellent work. Even in its infancy, we've leveraged the DLS to run simple AB tests that consistently produce some of the highest grossing results.
